The Capitals were in trouble at 79/9 after 16 overs and were on the verge of an early all-out when Hailey Matthews went through the middle order, picking off three wickets.

Amelia Kerr entered the game and contributed some significant runs, but it was Nat Sciver-match-winning Brunt’s innings (56* off 54 balls) that brought her team to victory on the biggest stage. The Delhi Capitals made a strong attempt, but they fell short in the end.
