IPL 2023: Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow is home to the Lucknow Super Giants, an Indian Premier League team. With a staggering cost of Rs. 7090 crore, the franchise was added to the IPL roster. According to Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the team’s home field is located in Lucknow. Team India’s vice-captain KL Rahul is the team’s captain. The RP Sanjiv Goenka group, who in 2016 owned Rising Pune Supergiant, is the team’s current owner.

KL Rahul
KL Rahul’s services for the IPL 2022 cost Lucknow Rs 17 Crore. He did not let the team down and acted as skipper and a dominant batsman. The right-handed batter recorded 616 runs from 15 games, including two tonnes and four half-centuries, throughout the entire season. Even though his strike rate was questioned, he led the LSG to their first-ever postseason berth in just their first season.
Quinton de Kock
South African batsman Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul made up a strong opening combination for LSG in IPL 2022. The southpaw earned the owners’ trust by finishing with 508 runs in 15 games. He was kept on by the team, thus when the iPL 2023 rolls around, the starting duo for LSG will return.
Nicholas Pooran
By spending 16 crores for Nicholas Pooran, Lucknow Super Giants set a record for the most expensive wicketkeeper in IPL auction history. Prior to being released before the mini auction, the former West Indies captain played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2022 season. Pooran played for Punjab Kings before to SRH.
Avesh Khan
Avesh had a breakthrough IPL season in 2021, taking 24 wickets for Delhi Capitals. When Lucknow purchased his services at the IPL auction in 2022, he became the first uncapped player to earn Rs 10 crore. With 18 recorded kills, he came in slightly outside the top ten wicket-takers despite not quite matching his 2021 performance.
