History

By winning the IPL championship in the maiden season last year, Gujarat Titans created history. They accomplished what the Rajasthan Royals did in 2008 once more. After Rajasthan Royals, Titans became just the second team to win the title in their inaugural year. After the IPL 2022 auction, nobody had given them a shot at the crown. Nonetheless, the squad triumphed against all odds in front of Ahmedabad’s home supporters. Before defeating Royals in Qualifier 1 to get to the final, Titans displayed remarkable play throughout the season, winning 10 of their first 14 games. In front of a full stadium, they defeated the Royals once more.

Shivam Mavi

During the IPL 2023 Auction, the IPL champions paid RS 6 crores for the Uttar Pradesh bowler. The franchisee released the young pitcher after learning that he had previously played for the Kolkata Knight Riders. The right-handed bowler made his debut in 2018 and went on to play 32 games for Knight Riders, taking 30 wickets at an 8.71 economy rate.

Rashid Khan

There is no need to introduce the leg spinner. Khan continued his strong play after being released by Sunrisers Hyderabad, helping Titans take 19 wickets in the process. He has improved his standing as a versatile player by contributing runs with the bat as well. The Titans will be hoping he maintains his form going forward.

Hardik Pandya

Until the IPL 2022 auction, the captain of the Titans has only played for the Mumbai Indians. Pandya signed with Gujarat Titans after being released by MI. He scored 487 runs at a strike rate of over 130 in his debut season as captain, took eight wickets, and helped his team win the championship.
