IPL 2023, Who will win today’s IPL 2023 game between KKR and SRH?
IPL 2023, Who will win today’s IPL 2023 game between KKR and SRH? It’s possible that the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) didn’t approach the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) with big hopes. But they have undoubtedly discovered strategies for winning games.
Before the spinners created a web around Faf du Plessis and company, Shardul Thakur used a spectacular knock to save their match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Then, Gujarat Titans (GT), the defending champions, suffered their lone setback of the season thanks to a genuinely exceptional performance from Rinku Singh.
The Knight Riders have so far punched far above their weight with two victories out of three games. They have established themselves as a squad to keep an eye on and are now ranked fourth in the IPL 2023 standings with the second-best net run rate in the league.
Despite having a subpar roster and a substitute captain in Shreyas Iyer’s absence, they managed to win the game.
IPL 2023, Who will win today’s IPL 2023 game between KKR and SRH?
On Friday, April 14, KKR will face another significant test when they welcome Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Eden Gardens.
Unlike Kolkata, Hyderabad entered the IPL 2023 with one of the strongest teams in the competition and appeared ready to pounce on a playoff position. The franchise lost their first two games by significant margins, so things haven’t worked out that way thus far.
The Orange Army, though, appears to be gaining ground. In their previous game, they put up a valiant performance to hand the Punjab Kings (PBKS) their first setback of the campaign, earning two fought-for points. Additionally, it raised them off the ground.
Sunrisers will face a battle from turning Eden Gardens in the IPL 2023 match between KKR and SRH
The Eden Gardens wicket hasn’t provided much for spinners in the previous IPL seasons, but things seem to be different this year. A handful of the SRH batters are susceptible to spin, and in their previous game, the KKR spin trio spun a web around the RCB.
Harry Brook’s IPL career has gotten off to a poor start, while skipper Aiden Markram is far more comfortable playing against pace than spin. But they also have their advantages.
Some players, such as Mayank Agarwal and Rahul Tripathi, are more than capable of seizing control of the situation. Meanwhile, Heinrich Klaasen is a unique breed of foreign hitter who can handle both pace and spin.
The Sunrisers’ performance in their most recent encounter will provide them motivation. In his first appearance of the year, Mayank Markande put on a menacing performance by taking four wickets. Markram and Washington Sundar could be helpful against some of KKR’s left-handers who have trouble with off-spin.
The fact that Kolkata’s batting order is rather underwhelming also works to Hyderabad’s advantage. They haven’t put on group performances; instead, they’ve had to rely on incredible individual efforts to get them victories thus far.
Andre Russell and Nitish Rana, two of KKR’s best match-winners, haven’t really joined the party yet this year. In Kolkata, their spin trio will also play a significant role.
But SRH have the tools to defeat KKR, and they also appear to be working well together. Although the host team is unquestionably in with a chance, Markram and Co. can be backed to maintain their momentum.
