A lavish opening ceremony was also a part of the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023, which was held last month. Punjabi music artist AP Dhillon, Kiara Advani, and Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon all gave performances at the occasion.
The BCCI decided not to hold an IPL 2019 opening ceremony in the wake of the Pulwama attack before the COVID-19 conference. The BCCI’s determination to make IPL 2023 a spectacular event can be seen in its choice to contemplate an opening ceremony this year.
Each side will compete in 14 matches during the league stage of the competition, including seven at home and seven away. Each team will play the other four teams in its group twice after being split into two groups. They will also compete once each against the other five teams.
